SEO for E-commerce in Nepal

I help online stores in Nepal and abroad get their products indexed, ranked and found on Google, so more searches turn into sales. My SEO for e-commerce covers Shopify and WordPress stores, including brands in the UK and the USA. It’s one of the main areas I cover as an SEO specialist in Nepal.
Plans start at $150/month, with a free SEO audit first.

The problems

Why Online Stores Struggle on Google

Most store owners think they need more products or more blog posts. When I audit a store, the real problems are usually these.

Products not indexed

If Google hasn’t indexed a product page, it can’t rank or sell. On most stores I audit, this is the first problem.

Copied product descriptions

Text copied from the manufacturer or other stores is duplicate content, so Google often leaves those pages out of its index.

Product pages that don’t rank

Single product pages compete with big marketplaces. Without strong category pages around them, they rarely reach page one.

Slow store pages

Heavy themes, too many apps or plugins and large images slow the store down, and shoppers leave before the page loads.

Missing product schema

Without product schema, Google can’t easily show your price, stock and other product details in search results.

Weak category pages

Empty or thin category pages waste the pages that should rank for your biggest buying searches.

Indexing, speed and schema are my work as a technical SEO consultant, and I improve product and category pages as an on-page SEO specialist.

Where I start

Indexing Comes Before Everything Else

Many store owners ask for more traffic first. But if Google has indexed only part of your products, more content or links won’t fix that. So with Search Console access, the first thing I check is how many of your products and categories are actually indexed.
If that number is low, I fix crawling and indexing before anything else. Every product that gets indexed is one more page that can be found and bought.

Process

How I Do E-commerce SEO

Sales are the goal. Indexed, well-ranked product and category pages are how we get there. This is the order I work in.
  1. Step 01

    Full store audit

Every page type on your store, plus Search Console, to see how many products and categories Google has actually indexed.

  2. Step 02

    Fix crawling and indexing

If few products are indexed, technical fixes come first: duplicate URLs, blocked pages, sitemaps and internal links.

  3. Step 03

    Optimise product pages

I rewrite copied descriptions and improve titles and images, so products get indexed and match what shoppers search.

  4. Step 04

Category pages, home page and speed

Category pages and the home page target the biggest buying searches. Speed is improved across the whole store, because no one can hand-tune thousands of product pages.

  5. Step 05

    Product schema

Structured data for your products, so Google can show prices, stock and other details in search results.

  6. Step 06

    Content only where it helps

Blog posts aren’t the main focus. I add buying-guide content when it supports your categories, as I did for a seven-product kids’ care brand.

  7. Step 07

    Monthly report and review

Indexed products, clicks, impressions and rankings, explained in plain words, with a review call.

Steps 2 and 5 need a technical SEO professional, steps 3 and 4 are my work as a Nepal-based on-page SEO expert, and step 6 is the work of an SEO content specialist in Nepal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

My plans start at $150 per month, and I don’t take projects below that. You get a free audit first. The final price depends on how many products and categories you have, your platform, the technical problems in the audit, how many descriptions need rewriting and the competition in your market.

Usually because they aren’t indexed. Common causes are descriptions copied from the manufacturer or other stores, duplicate URLs, technical blocks and weak internal links. The audit shows how many of your products Google has indexed and what is stopping the rest.

It’s better not to. The same descriptions appear on many other sites, so Google often doesn’t index your version. Each important product needs its own description written for your shoppers. I rewrite them, starting with the products that matter most to your sales.

Yes. Most of my e-commerce work is on Shopify and WordPress stores, in Nepal and abroad. If your store runs on another platform, send me the link and I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.

Not at the start. Indexing, product pages and category pages come first, because they are the pages that sell. I add buying-guide content where it supports your categories, as with a kids’ personal care brand whose clicks rose 550% compared with the previous three months.
